Game Reaction: Browns Fans
Written by Danielle November 4th, 2008Here’s a snippet of some of the comments from fans of the Cleveland Browns over at DawgBones.com and DawgTalkers.net. The Browns were victims to a come-from-behind offensive attack by the Ravens, and Cleveland fans rained boos all over the stadium.
This may not be popular but I am going to say this anyway. Yes it’s true, the Browns have issues at QB and at WR but there is a glaring issue that many do not notice…Jamal Lewis. Jamal is a force between the tackles, that is where he excels, however, the Browns need a runner that can stretch the defense. Someone who can cut from the middle to the outside if need be. There were many opportunities yesterday (Ravens debacle)that Jamal was a cut away from making a big run. Jamal is a power runner and that works great, sometimes, but the Browns need a homerun threat, a slasher. I love the acquisition of Lewis and he has been great for the Browns but at some point, soon, the Browns are going to have to consider life without Jamal. In my opinion the Browns need to look to lock up a RB in the early rounds on next years draft.

Too many Browns fans (not anyone in particular) post with their heart first, not with their head. We aren’t a great team. The Ravens did everything right, when we did everything wrong. Blame DA all you want, but he didn’t have a bad game, at least not like some of the posters are saying he had… No QB can play well without a running game.
I also find it funny seeing “Season is over” posts, though I suppose we’ve been seeing these since week 2. Umm, there’s still 8 games left to play.

We are a team that was considered a playoff contender going into the season. Sorry if you want to be one of those type of teams you beat the Ravens at home. The Rats are in year 2 of their rebuilding process, and have beaten us twice this year………..and we are in year 4 of the process. Simply inexcusable, and we should be farther along than we are.
We have holes everywhere still, and we are in year 4……….pathetic.
